A real war on Christmas

Those of you who, during the weekend’s festivites, sought a moment of sobriety by checking international news, will probably have read about the Christmas Day attacks on churches in Nigeria. Responsibility for the attacks was claimed by Boko Haram, a radical Muslim sect.

So, before we all get carried away by the debate in the U.S. concerning separation of church and state, we should remember that violent – indeed lethally violent – wars on religion are a real concern in other parts of the world.


Today (Janurary 6th), six people were shot dead in a Nigerian church.

  1. This is true. There are real Christian men and women dying and being seriously injured in other countries because of their faith. We have it good in America compared to what others are enduring.
